Self Help Africa (SHA) is an international NGO dedicated to the vision of an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa. Headquartered in Ireland, in 2021, Self Help Africa merged with United Purpose. This doubled our size and created an international NGO that is implementing projects to end extreme hunger and poverty across 10 countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa. SHA creates scalable and sustainable solutions to eradicating long-term poverty through knowledge transfer, investment, and market linkages. SHA has been operating in Ethiopia since 1986 in partnership with civil society organisations, private sector, and the government, and has reached a lot of Ethiopians with interventions to save lives and build secure livelihoods. 

To support and facilitate the smooth running of project activities, Self Help Africa Ethiopia office would like to to hire a Consultancy Service to Conduct Assessments and Feasibility Studies that will inform the design and implementation of the “Development Livelihoods for Deseret Locust affected Smallholders” project’s foreseen activities in Amhara region. The areas of operations cover mainly Waghmera, South Wollo, North Wollo, Oromia Leyu Zone, in addition to that, East Gojam, South Gonder, and North Shewa zones. SHA hereby invites eligible and qualified bidders to submit a Bid to this invitation to Bid. For detailed information about the bid and specification, interested vendors can collect the bid document from SHA during office hours (Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm, and Friday until 12 pm only). The bid document can be purchased by interested bidders during office hours from SHA in Ethiopia Country Office upon payment of a non-refundable fee of birr 2000.00 (Two Thousand birr only) by depositing to Account name: Self Help Africa: CBE bank / Addis Ababa branch/ Account number: 1000000935496. Consultants with relevant expertise for the indicated service renewed for 2017 EC, and VAT registered can collect specifications of the bid starting from the date of publication of this advertisement up to 1st May 2025 at 10:00 AM East Africa Time and the bid will be opened on 1st May at 10:30 Am East African Time.
