The project outcome will be i) increased access to clean and quality seed, ii) increased market access by seed entrepreneurs, iii) increased market access for cassava products and by-products by SHF, and iv) increased access to finance by SHF. The project targets to benefit 8,000 (including 60 % women) cassava SHFs in Busia, Homa Bay, Kisumu, and Migori counties in Kenya. The project will focus on 3 outputs namely i) Reliable and Efficient Seed Systems, ii) Strengthened Route to Market, Market Intelligence and Quality Standards for 4 Processing Units; and iii) Improved Policy and Engagement Platforms Across Different Levels of the Cassava Value Chains. Self Help Africa therefore seeks the services of a BDS consultant to train, coach and mentor the Seed Multipliers/ Small Micro-Entrepreneurs (SMEs), Cassava Seed Entrepreneurs (CSEs) and Processing Units (PUs) on governance, business planning & marketing, and strategic
