International Women’s Day takes place on Sunday, 8th March next, and to mark the occasion we’re inviting friends and supporters to join us in celebrating Africa’s hard-working women farmers.

We’d love you to mark the occasion by hosting a Coffee Morning,  large or small, to support our work with African women.

As you may know, the women we work with carry out up to 80% of all farm work, yet receive as little as 5% of available support. If they are given equal access to services such as training, seed and loans, food production can increase by as much as 20%-30%.

Will you host a Coffee Morning to help raise money for Gorta-Self Help Africa’s work with women? It’s a great opportunity to get together with your friends. What’s more, you’ll be doing something great for African women who want to give their families a better chance in life.

The money you raise will really make a difference to the lives of women in Africa. Whether it is £10 or £100, you can help to change women’s lives.
