‘Africa – A story of change & transformation’ is a new video that explains why Self Help Africa works in the way that it does.
It seeks to illustrate the enormous importance of agriculture to people in rural Sub-Saharan Africa, and how our work is supporting rural poor communities to grow more, earn more, and build better lives for their families.
The vast majority of people in Africa rely on farming, either directly, or indirectly for their living. By supporting simple agricultural innovation, promoting crop diversification, organising farmers into producer groups, supporting enterprise development, and assisting rural communities to access markets for their produce, we are helping hundreds of thousands of households to work their way out of poverty, every year.
