Are you ready for "Have a Cuppa for Africa Day" in May 2026? Get involved by hosting your very own coffee/tea morning in aid of Self Help Africa during the month of May.

Your organisation, community, school or workplace can come together to have a ‘Cuppa’ and help raise funds to support the work of Self Help Africa in 8 countries in Africa and in the developing world.

We are looking forward to seeing your ‘mugshots’ so feel free to share your photos and tag #Cuppaforafrica on social media.

How to get involved

  1. Register to host your coffee/tea morning here (SHA landing page). Once registered, we will send you out your fundraising poster and info about the work of SHA!
  2. Set up your fundraising page on Facebook or I-Donate page if hosting a virtual coffee/tea morning or organise your donation box/bucket if you are doing it in person and share with friends and family on your social media to encourage more donations! Click here to watch how to set up for Facebook and Instagram fundraiser.
  3. If you are raising funds in person using our buckets, please lodge funds into our bank account. You will find detail to do this here.
  4. Share your ‘mug shots’ with us by using the #CuppaforAfrica and tag us @Cuppaforafrica on Facebook or Instagram.
  5. Let others know about this event and share with contacts, neighbours, friends, members, colleagues etc
