Gorta-Self Help Africa is embarking on a charity partnership with Ireland’s leading recruitment consultancy, in a bid to strengthen its hand in the fight to end hunger and poverty in Africa.
The collaboration between Gorta-Self Help Africa and Sigmar Recruitment was announced this week, and follows a selection process undertaken by Sigmar’s workforce to choose the charity that they would like to assist.
The partnership will be led by Sigmar’s 100 strong workforce, and will see employees raising much needed funds for African development projects through sponsored events and fundraising initiatives.
CEO Ray Jordan said that he was delighted with the new partnership with Sigmar. “It is fantastic to be able to call upon the expertise of one of Ireland’s top recruitment consultancies, and to draw upon their knowledge and skills so that we can deliver the best results that we can for the rural poor people of Africa.”
Sigmar Recruitment Director Adrian McGennis said: “we are so pleased to announce Gorta-Self Help Africa as our new charity partner, an organisation which makes such a difference in the rural communities of Africa and we look forward to supporting the good work that they do.
The charity’s commitment to tackling hunger with projects that empower farmers and equip them with the tools to start businesses and become self-sufficient, is an incredibly worthy cause.”
