Self Help Africa says a big seasonal ‘thank you’ to our incredible supporters.
This Autumn alone, in excess of 1,500 friends lent us their support – attending and participating in events and challenges – and in so doing contributing almost €1,000,000 to support our work in Africa.
That’s an unbelievable amount, and to all those involved we express our heartfelt gratitude.
The picture collage above is just a small fraction of the faces who helped us in so many ways in just a few short months since last Summer.
If you look closely you may be able to spot an Olympic gold medalist, star of one of the most successful ever TV shows, a sports presenter, former Miss USA, international rugby star, TV talent show host and many more – farmers, lawyers, chefs, students, hoteliers, authors, bankers, restaurateurs, journalists, brokers, business owners, designers, engineers, teachers, doctors, photographers- even a rap artist !
To Kenyan world record holder and Olympic champion David Rudisha, Â to Soprano’s star Vincent Pastore, to former Miss USA Nana Meriwether, to British and Irish Lions rugby star Sean O’Brien, and to the many others who lent their backing in 2013 – we say ‘Thank You.’
At Self Help Africa we’re indebted to those who’ve helped out, and made 2013 a very special year for us, and more importantly for many rural poor households in Africa.
