At Self Help Africa, we’ve all witnessed the shocking images of refugees, mainly women and children, fleeing their homes in Ukraine, desperately seeking safety. War is on the doorstep of Europe once again.
For the past four years, we’ve worked in partnership with SlovakAid, who have supported our projects in Kenya. Now, in this time of crises we are joining together again, to help women and children who have both crossed the border into Slovakia, and those who remain in Ukraine.
We are directly supporting Dr. Natalia Gluskho, and Hospital No. 2, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine – 270km from the Slovak border.
This hospital is seriously struggling for essential medical supplies and medicines, and is working to overloaded capacity, due to people fleeing from the bombing.
