Janet was forced to flee her home in the Congo as a small child due to tribal conflict. After years of living a nomadic existence she arrived at a UN refugee camp in Zambia and joined our farmer graduation project.

Beatrice used to work as a hired hand on other people’s farms but is now an entrepreneur in her own right.

Semida improved her crop yields and has become food secure through skills gained from her local Farmer Field School.
