Coronavirus Message from the CEO

Self Help AfricaNews

Dear Supporter,

I hope that you and your loved ones are safe, and are coping well in these challenging times.

At Self Help Africa, we are sincerely grateful for your support for our work.

Right now, we are doing all that we can to prepare for the impact of Coronavirus on communities across Africa.

The numbers of reported cases of COVID-19 in Africa have now exceeded 10,000, and we are acutely aware that the world’s poorest people, with limited health services and few resources, could be devastated if the virus spreads.

Self Help Africa has postponed various fundraising events, while our offices in the US, the UK and Ireland are closed, with staff working from home. Our staff in Africa are adapting their ways of working with rural communities, to continue supporting food production but also to assist in spreading vital health messaging at this critical time.

We remain committed to our mission to support some of the poorest and most vulnerable communities on the planet.

Now, more than ever, your support is vital, as we all come together to combat this urgent global crisis.

Yours sincerely,

Ray Jordan, CEO
