LOBITO CORRIDOR CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - MEDIUM ENTERPRISE & STARTUP GRANTS

Are you an innovative enterprise operating in Zambia’s green, circular, or digital economy especially within the Lobito Corridor regions?
This is your opportunity to secure EUR 100,000 – 500,000 in funding to scale your solutions!

About Call V: Lobito Corridor Funding Window

Call V specifically supports Medium Enterprises, Startups, Youth/Women-owned businesses, and Feasibility Study applicants developing projects that advance Zambia’s:

  • Green Manufacturing (excluding food processing)
  • Green Mining (with focus on artisanal miners & critical raw materials)
  • Urban Mining & E-waste
  • Circular Economy Services
  • Construction Materials (green alternatives)
  • Green Transport & Logistics
  • Digital Platforms & Solutions

Priority is given to applicants based in or expanding into: Northwestern, Copperbelt, and Lusaka Provinces.

Funding Available

Depending on the funding window:

Feasibility Studies (Opportunity 0)

  • Grant: EUR 25,000 – 100,000
  • Match Funding: 30%

Medium Enterprises (Opportunity 1.a and 1.b)

  • Grant: EUR 100,000 – 500,000
  • Match Funding: 50%

Startups (Opportunity 2.a)

  • Grant: EUR 100,000 – 500,000
  • Match Funding: 50%

What the Grant Can Fund

Eligible activities include:

  • Capital Expenditure (equipment, machinery)
  • Circular Economy model transitions
  • Feasibility & technical studies
  • Digital transformation and business systems
  • Capacity building & leadership strengthening

Not eligible: debt service, working capital (salaries, utilities), losses, previously funded activities.

Critical Dates

Call Launch: 12 November 2025
Request to Apply Opens: 17 November 2025
RTA Closes: 12 December 2025
Concept Note Submission Closes: 19 December 2025

BUSINESS GROWTH AND INNOVATION PRIZES 

In an effort to stimulate innovation and continuous learning, GREENTech4CE will be supporting initiatives that raise awareness on environmental sustainability, technological advancements, and the development of innovative solutions.

To this effect, the project will provide support to institutions that design and operate incubators or innovation hubs by:

  • Sponsoring awards and innovation prizes,
  • Participating on evaluation committees, and
  • Providing technical assistance, especially with a focus on women and youth innovators.

This support will align with thematic areas including green economy, circular economy, digital transformation, and critical raw materials (CRM).

Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs) – Call III

Under this call, GREENTech4CE is providing grants between EUR 60,000 and EUR 150,000 to support Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs) that incubate or accelerate startups and MSMEs in Zambia’s green, circular, digital economy and Critical Raw Materials.

Key Highlights:

  • Total fund available: EUR 1,576,750
  • Application window opens: 14 July 2025
  • Application deadline: 29 August 2025
  • Implementation period: 12 months
  • Matching requirement: 25% (for most BDSPs); 15% (for those supporting Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining)

Eligible Institutions Include:

  • Zambian-registered BDSPs operating for at least 2 years,
  • Entities with proven track record in incubation or acceleration,
  • Organizations serving startups, micro and small enterprises in sectors like manufacturing, construction, energy, creative industries, digital services, logistics, and artisanal mining (CRM).
