Self Help Africa received Match funding from UKaid to implement a 2-year project Sept 2019 \u2013 Oct 2021 focused on Self Help Africa (SHA) is an International Non-Governmental Organization implementing rural development, sustainable food and livelihoods security programmes in nine countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. SHA\u2019s vision is an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa with a mission to support sustainable livelihoods for Uganda\u2019s smallholder farmers. SHA has been working in Uganda for close to 20 years. Self Help Africa in partnership with Golden Bees Limited, Swienty Commodities ApS and Kahl GmbH & Co.KG (Kahlwax Limited) and with financial support from the Danida Market Development Partnerships (DMDP), are implementing the Market-Oriented Rural Enterprise for Honey (MORE-HONEY) project in Uganda.  The MORE-HONEY project promotes the development of an equitable honey value chain through working with 2,000 farmers in the four districts of Kitgum and Lamwo in the East Acholi region and Amudat and Nakapiripirit in the Southern Karamoja sub region. The project contributes to market development and promote economic growth and employment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
