{"id":5239,"date":"2019-01-04T16:51:01","date_gmt":"2019-01-04T16:51:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/us\/?p=5239"},"modified":"2019-01-04T16:51:01","modified_gmt":"2019-01-04T16:51:01","slug":"trutrade-innovation-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/us\/trutrade-innovation-award\/","title":{"rendered":"TruTrade receives innovation award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Self Help Africa\u2019s inventive new farmers trading platform TruTrade has been presented with a prestigious award for innovation.<\/p>\n<p>The creative approach taken by TruTrade to connecting rural poor farmers with profitable markets was presented with the 2018 \u2018Dochas Innovation in Development Award,\u2019 at a prize-giving ceremony in Dublin, last month.<\/p>\n<p>The social enterprise, which operates mainly in Kenya and Uganda, acts as a trading platform, linking farmers to the market and providing them with a better price for their crops.
