We are looking for a group of keen cyclists to join us from 8th – 15th June 2024 for this awe-inspiring cycle challenge through Zambia.
Zambia is a wonderfully diverse country with spectacular natural beauty and a friendly culture. Source of the mighty Zambezi River, Zambia’s most famous and spectacular feature is the magnificent Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world.
Starting in Lusaka, you’ll cycle approximately 500km over six days, both on and off-road through the towns and villages of rural southern Zambia, finishing at the incredible Victoria Falls. You’ll pass farmland and sugar cane plantations, spotting wildlife and enjoying everyday scenes of rural Zambia. You’ll also get to visit one of the communities that Self Help Africa are supporting, to see how you’re making a difference.
Please view the trip itinerary here for further details.
The cost of the trip is £2,549* and includes accommodation (twin share), bike hire, meals, support from a tour leader, a doctor, mechanic, and vehicle support. Return flights are not included and must be booked separately.
In addition, you are required to raise a minimum of £1,100 (excluding Gift Aid) to support our work with vulnerable farming communities in sub-Saharan Africa.
Places are limited to a maximum of 25 people. A deposit of £300 will reserve your place – book here via our travel partner Discover Adventure.
If you’d like to find out more or have any questions before booking, you can register your interest at no obligation by completing the form below or by contacting Zoe Paton on [email protected]
We will also be hosting an information evening on Monday 25th September where you can learn more about the trip.
