He dreams of being a soldier. Last year he said he\u2019d like to be a priest when he grows up.<\/p>\n<p>Like dozens of other young teenagers in Malela village in Northern Zambia, Stephen Linga has hopes and dreams. With your help, Stephen can achieve the future he wants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/01\/Stephen350.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/01\/Stephen350-233x300.jpg\" alt=\"Stephen350\" width=\"233\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/01\/Stephen350-233x300.jpg 233w, https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/01\/Stephen350-100x129.jpg 100w, https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/01\/Stephen350.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 233px) 100vw, 233px\" \/><\/a>Self Help Africa is supporting Stephen\u2019s family to grow more food and earn a better living from their small plot of land.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen lives with his grandmother Foster Simeo in the village, and lends whatever help that he can to his grandparents on their small farm. Stephen&#8217;s grandmother recently planted groundnuts (monkey nut) and beans on her plot. This, she has planted alongside the cassava that is their staple food. <\/p>\n<p>Stephen recently began secondary school in a village outside the district.
