First held in 1974, over the years World Environmen Dayhas grown to a broad, global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated by participants in over 100 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s World Environment Day is \u201cEcosystem Restoration.\u201d We must strive to continue creating sustainable ways of living, working and development while protecting, restoring and creating new ecosystems for future generations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Self Help Africa we\u2019re committed to the objectives of World Environment Day, with regenerative agriculture, climate smart farming practices and reforestation efforts at the core of much of our work with small-scale farming communities in Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To mark World Environment Day, we\u2019d love to you get behind our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/selfhelpafrica.org\/onemilliontrees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Another One Million Trees<\/a><\/strong> campaign.
