Salary: NJC point 18 £24,313 p/a

Key Responsibilities:

Role Specific
• To assist the Head of Retail in the day to day operations of the NI retail network
• Achieve targets within Retail KPI’s
• Assist in the implementation of the Retail Strategy
• Help coordinate communications between shops and Head Office
• To work with shop teams to ensure shops are presented to the highest standard as set out in the Best Practice Guide
• Help to recruit and train volunteers within the volunteer led shops in Retail and Customer Service skills
• Support Coordinator led shops in achieving targets/goals
• Support Coordinator led shops during holiday/sickness periods
• Be “hands on” when supporting teams within shops
• To organise outside contractors to complete jobs within the shops when necessary
• Implement new ideas for stock generation
• Utilize all donated stock to drive and maximise sales
• Adherence to SHA policies and procedures
• To respond promptly to correspondence received from other departments
• Keep accurate shop visit documentation and report findings to HoR
• To assist other departments where and when necessary
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise a changing workload
• Ensure that all shops adhere to health and safety policy
• Ensure there is no discrimination on the grounds of race, creed, age, or sexual orientation.
• Ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Organisation from time to time

Knowledge and Experience
• Experience of management in the community/voluntary sector
• Experience of multi-site management
• Extensive Volunteer and/or Staff management experience
• Evidence of strong commitment to excellent customer service

Qualifications/Other Requirements
Essential
• Proven track record in Retail management for at least 3 years
• Evidence of motivational and leadership skills
• Project Management skills
• Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences
• Ambitious with a proven ability to take initiative and implement change.
• Full clean driving licence and access to own car

Desirable
• Mentoring, coaching and training skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Sales training an advantage.
• Computer literate
