in our relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of this role is to coordinate the accounts payable function of Self Help Africa Ireland and UK (including the UK subsidiary entities) and to assist the Senior Financial Accountant in all aspects of the day-to-day function of Self Help\u00a0 Africa and UK (including the UK subsidiary entities.This is a varied role requiring good organisation and multi-tasking skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accounts Payable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Processing of all creditor invoices into the accounting system and the CRM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain the creditors\u2019 ledger using the accounting software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing creditors\u2019 reconciliations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arranging for the payment of suppliers and recording of payments into the accounting software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing international programme payments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Staff Expenses\/Petty Cash<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Posting of staff expenses and ensuring all receipts are provided<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing and reconciliation of petty cash payments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Bank<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Processing fundraising lodgements&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring funding income and allocation to programmes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of credit cards and bank account closures\/DD\u2019s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reconciliation of EUR, USD and GBP bank and clearing accounts on a monthly basis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reconciliation and posting of credit card transactions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with cashflow management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide support with Revenue queries as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing finance post and keeping and safeguarding of the records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with annual external audit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provision of departmental information as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement improvements as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide cover for the UK and Ireland Assistant Accountant as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide ad-hoc administration support and assistance to the Senior Financial Accountant, Financial<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manager and the Head of Finance as Requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accounting Technician or part qualified in an internationally recognised Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience working in an accounts payable and general bookkeeping role<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage varied tasks simultaneously, working effectively as a team member and on own initiative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Display an ability to reconcile creditor accounts and resolve issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working knowledge of accounting software packages and database systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly excel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills and
