Organisation overview:<\/strong><\/p>

Self Help Africa (SHA) and United Purpose (UP) merged in late 2021 to implement projects to end extreme hunger and poverty in sub-Saharan Africa. The merger doubled its size and reach, with SHA implementing poverty eradication projects in sub-Saharan Africa in 2022. The group includes social enterprise subsidiaries Partner Africa, TruTrade, and Cumo Microfinance. In 2022, SHA will reach over six million people and invest \u20ac45m in over 100 development programs to improve food systems, access to markets, financial services, climate change, gender inequality, and access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.<\/p>

Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>

United Purpose is going to implement a project named \u2018Humanitarian Assistance of Protection and Empowerment for Vulnerable Communities in Rohingya Camp (HOPE). For the successful implementation of the project activities, we are seeking a dedicated person for the position of Project Manager (Expert-Assessment). The Project Manager will play a critical role in conducting rapid needs assessment and Strategic Response Planning focusing on Earthquake vulnerability, supporting humanitarian activities at the Rohingya camp and host community. The individual will be responsible to manage and coordinating the field team to facilitate the distribution of emergency cash and relief assistance, ensuring compliance with RRRC and ISCG guidelines. The Project Manager (Expert \u2013 Assessment) will also collaborate closely with various stakeholders including Camp-in-Charge (CiC), camp management authorities, and internal project teams to ensure efficient and accountable delivery of services and support.<\/p>

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>

To ensure project have better plan to achieve their goals<\/p>

\u2022 The position holder will have a strong background in project management as well as experience of working in health, livelihood and civil society capacity strengthen program.
\u2022 Provide tools and methods for organisational development and community mobilization
\u2022 Provide systems and procedures for grant disbursement to civil society partner organizations and monitoring project implementation and results reporting with relevant programmes.
\u2022 Facilitate to conduct Rapid Needs Assessment and Strategic Response Planning focusing on Earthquake vulnerability and reporting.
\u2022 He\/she will assist to Head of DRM & Humanitarian program in program planning and implementation.
\u2022 Provide technical support and capacity building of the staff through facilitating training and module development and oversee to ensure the quality within the projects of DRM & Humanitarian program Department.
\u2022 Undertake regular field visits to follow up on the implementation of health programme activities and monitoring and address any gaps as necessary and support project team to ensure project delivery within allotted budget and timelines.
\u2022 Contribute towards programme planning, ensuring alignment with the project\u2019s programme policies and guidance; as well as United Purpose policies and guidance;
\u2022 Recommend improvements to increase program operational efficiency and effectiveness and update to Head of DRM & Humanitarian program Department about project status, updates and concerns on daily basis.
\u2022 Prepare weekly\/monthly progress report with the cooperation of other project staffs and submit to the Head of DRM & Humanitarian program department and Donor.
\u2022 Participate in training, workshops\/seminar as invited and ensure that all new knowledge and skills acquired through training are shared with other project staff and applied.
\u2022 Preparing an implementation plan taking into consideration the project’s logframe and setting deadlines for timely implementation with quality, ensuring the activities planned;
\u2022 Working with project team members to deliver the expected outcomes and outputs with quality and quantity in a timely manner, implementing a set\/cluster of activities;<\/p>

To ensure the effective coordination and communication, compliances and documentation:
\u2022 Ensuring the participation of GoB and other relevant committee(s) within the project areas that could contribute to bring effective results at project level.
\u2022 Contribute to the writing of project publications; obtaining inputs from the team to develop high quality dissemination materials, including peer reviewed publications, technical briefs, reports, case studies, blogs etc. to a wide audience.
\u2022 Supporting team members to enable them to give of their best e.g. by encouraging and praising good performance, coaching, assisting staff to prevent or resolve problems, providing resources, tools and equipment.
\u2022 Enabling a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the organization;<\/p>

To ensure the effective networking, advocacy, resource mobilization and reporting:
\u2022 Assist prepare funding proposals and briefing documents for donors, organize donor briefings for resource mobilization
\u2022 Assist and Prepare reports to comply with the donor reports both physical and financial as per the reporting requirements
\u2022 Assist to provide Technical Support and capacity building of PNGOs on documentation, reporting, policies, finance monitoring and field level quality controlling.
\u2022 Networking and linkages with govt. stakeholders<\/p>

Knowledge, Experience and Other Requirements
Key competencies required:<\/strong><\/p>

\u2022 Master\u2019s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Development Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, Economics or relevant subject
\u2022 Minimum 7 years of professional work experience in the Vocational training and relevant background
\u2022 Experience working with Non-profit organisation is preferred.
\u2022 Good communication skills (oral and written) with community and relevant stakeholders
\u2022 Strong networking skills.
\u2022 Strong knowledge on needs and gaps assessment along with cash and in-kind distribution at emergency context.
\u2022 Knowledge in team management and financial activities.
\u2022 Well-known local language\/dialect and ability to work with people from different cultures, gender, religion, race, nationality and age.
\u2022 Professional experience in national and international development NGOs for at least 5 years in management level positions.
\u2022 Proficiency in MS office tools, including Word, Excel and Power Point
\u2022 Good understanding of theory of change, logical frameworks and indicator setting.
\u2022 Ability to work in a team and adopt a team approach which adds value to work and reinforces good working practices.
\u2022 Have proficiency in facilitation skills and able to effectively handle discussions with a focus on both groups and individuals.
\u2022 Cross-culturally adept and willing to adhere\/follow Child and Adult Vulnerable Safeguard issues; Gender sensitiveness; and Disability and Dignity issues.
\u2022 Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well as a part of a team and to interact professionally with a culturally and linguistically diverse staff, program, and participants both within the office and outside.
