Self Help AfricaTenders

Self Help Africa (SHA) is an Irish-based international development organisation that works through agriculture and enterprise development to end hunger and poverty. We help rural poor farmers grow more, source markets, and earn more from their small farms.

By promoting new crop varieties and new farming methods, the organisation helps hundreds of thousands of poor families to produce more and better food on their land. We provide training and skills to African farming families so that they can work their way out of poverty, permanently. We organise small-scale farmers into producer groups and cooperatives, so that they can improve storage, access transport, source new markets and negotiate better prices for their produce.

Self Help Africa (SHA) invites tenders for Internal Audit consultancy services. We are looking for a supplier who can work in partnership with the SHA Audit Finance and Risk Committee (AFRC), SHA Finance team, SHA volunteer auditors and the wider SHA management team to deliver the core internal audit function to a high standard across the organisation.

The duration of contract will be for an initial two year period with an option to extend for a further two years subject to mutual agreement. A review will take place at the commencement of year two.The contract may be awarded to an individual or a company/firm that specialises in this area of work. In the case of a company, a designated resource will carry out the key functions required.
